CRANBERRY SAUCED

The most wonderful gin sour for the holidays
Whiskey_Sour.jpg

The holidays are a wonderful time to reunite with family friends, open a few presents, and experiment with a few cocktails. At least mine are. A lot of classics can be modified to take on a holiday vibe with limited runs to the grocery store, just like this excellent cranberry gin sour.

CRANBERRY SAUCED

Ingredients

2 oz. Gin

1 oz. Lemon juice

1 oz. Cranberry syrup*

2 dashes Angostura bitters

1 egg white

Cranberries

Instructions

Muddle a handful of cranberries in a shaker tin. Add all ingredients and shake without ice. Add ice and shake until chilled. Strain into a Nick and Nora glass.

*Combine equal parts sugar and water in saucepan over medium high heat. Bring to a low boil and add a handful of cranberries. Allow to continue boil for 1 minute than remove from heat. Let sit for 20-30 minutes then strain into container.
